Port Hueneme

December 15, 2016

We had a fun week in Port Hueneme a few weeks back while Eric had some training for work, but we got to have lunch with him and cruise around once he was off every day. It is a base in California and we went to visit the surrounding areas to discover new places! Santa Barbara, Oxnard, Ojai, to name a few. We also had dinner in Channel Islands and Ventura. If you’re in the area, these are some cool spots that I’d visit again (and came highly recommended by my girls (who are locals); Caryn and Alyssa.) Hope you enjoy as much as us!

+ Spencer Makenzie’s Fish Company, Ventura
+ Mesa Verde, Santa Barbara
+ Fresco on the Marina, Channel Islands
+ Hip Vegan Cafe, Ojai
+ Summer Camp, Ojai

This past weekend, our friends gave us a night to stay at a timeshare in Carlsbad, and other friends gave us gift cards to eat dinner and grab coffee while on our trip! Whoa, talk about love. They are all in our small group and I am so so thankful for them and how intentional they are in our lives and marriage. Nice to get away for a few days! We did some antique shopping on the way in Temecula, relaxed in the spa, and Eric’s favorite; sitting and losing brain cells watching TV. ;) Happy Veterans day weekend!

Westin Pasadena

September 12, 2016

This last weekend, we had a girls weekend at Westin Pasadena. My mama, sister, the girls, our Nanny Frances and I all met up and went to the SCCM, visited Griffith Observatory for a public star party, relaxed poolside with darling views of city hall and Colorado Boulevard. We were walking distance to Colorado Boulevard so we went to Tender Greens, Urth Caffe and coffee, obviously. On Sunday, the girls and I went to b’fast at Le Grande Orange and I visited my best friend and their church Lake Avenue and my mama and aunt got to drive up to the Ronald Regan Museum for the Vatican Splendor. I hope you all had a happy weekend!
